I made this!

Everything's a story.

Hi everyone! I hope you’re all well and good, wherever you are, whatever you’re doing. I’ve got to go to work in a couple of hours but I wanted to share something with you before I go.

A few days ago I finished a craft project I’d been working on for a while now. If you don’t know me all that well, you may not know that I’m an avid hooker. You know, crocheter. I love crocheting in every shape and form.

So, some time ago I was on the hunt for my next project and came across this pattern here from Red Heart, designed by Kristi Simpson. You could say I was intrigued (or, you know, hooked) and decided to give it a go.

I started off by picking my colours. I decided to go for nice and bright spring pastels. So far so good.

Then I ran into…

I can still see II

Everything's a story.

Helloooooo! Time for part 2 of my laser eye surgery experience. If you’ve not read the first part yet, you can find it here. I’m not going to go and write a big intro, just know there may be some graphic details coming up.

The Surgery

You know how usually before a surgery you can’t eat/drink and have to do x, y and z? Well, preparing for this one was quite straightforward – wear comfortable clothing and don’t wear any makeup, perfume or any other spray products. Oh, and bring sunglasses. That’s it.

So that’s what I did. On the day of the surgery I wore leggings and a comfortable cotton t-shirt. Pretty much my everyday home loungewear. As far as outfits go it couldn’t have been much better than that. In fact, it was even more important for me to be as comfortable as I could possibly be…

I can see clearly now!

Everything's a story.

Literally. I can finally see.

Hi everyone! Hope you’re well, wherever you are, whatever you’re doing. I sure am! Drum roll, please…

I had laser eye surgery yesterday! Woohoo! It all went well, I may write about my experience in more detail some time soon, but for now join me in the happy dance and wonderment of how detailed the world is! I honestly had no idea.

I’ll see you soon! (I really will now!)

2018 – Progress update

Everything's a story.

Hellooooo! I decided to walk a short way back the memory lane today. Don’t you sometimes feel like you simply need to remind yourself of something and then realise you wrote that something down so you can actually go and refresh your memory? (That made sense in my head, I promise.) I’m not sure if you remember, but in the beginning of this year I made the obligatory Goals for 2018 post. As we’re nearing the end of the year now, I decided it’d be the perfect time to see what I actually promised myself. Plus as there’s still over a month left until the end of the year, I’ve actually got some time to fulfill the promises I haven’t yet managed to keep. That’s the plan anyway. So, here’s my original post from January, let’s see how I’ve done.

Have a massive clear-out. It’s something that I actually…

Be prepared, be very prepared

Everything's a story.

24th September

Hi everyone! I do hope you’re well, what ever it is you’re up to these days. I haven’t heard from you in a while so I was growing a little worried. I’d love to hear what you’ve been doing and what’s new in your world. Drop me a message, let’s catch up.

So, I don’t know when I’ll actually be uploading this post. When I’m ready, I guess. The title kind of gives it away. This time I’m going to be prepared. I’ll be so prepared even I won’t know what hit me. Pow! Take that you future me who will bask in the glory of my preparedness. What a weird word.

Basically, the reason why you haven’t heard from me in a while now (I do seem to have an excuse for everything, don’t I? I really need to learn to be less defensive about, well, everything.)

Away with the Elves

Everything's a story.

Hi everyone! Hope you’re good, wherever you are, whatever you’re doing. It’s Saturday. The perfect day to reflect and ponder on the deeper meanings of our existence. Or, you know, watch Gilmore Girls and bake little bread rolls.

I’m on season 4 at the moment and I can’t believe I’ve not watched it before. I mean, it’s amazing. Pure gold. But better.

So yes, that’s my Saturday. I started to feel a bit anxious (you know, the general kind, nothing specific), and thought writing might help. It did. I’m feeling better already. Still a bit shaky but nothing that some more cat cuddles can’t fix.

Oh, speaking of anxiety – I’m a lot better nowadays. I feel a lot more comfortable being me, managing to overthink a bit less and enjoy life. Heck, I even enjoy driving now (a bit)! And I’m alright driving to new places…
